Remedies for Wrinkles

Filed under: Uncategorized, ageing, anti-ageing, curing wrinkles, wrinkles — Candace @ 4:42 pm

Wrinkles plague nearly every woman over 40. They sag and crease the skin mostly around one’s eyes, lips, and neck. People who have stretchy skin at a younger age are more likely to get worse wrinkles at a younger age. Wrinkles, like stretchy skin, are caused by a lack of collagen and elastin. Although as time goes on, you will undoubtedly get wrinkles, there are ways to delay getting wrinkles.

Collagen - Many expensive creams and treatments claim they use collagen, which they probably do, but it will cost you an arm and a leg to buy the treatment. Instead, why not add a few foods to your diet which are high in collagen? Vitamin C manufactures collagen, so brussel sprouts, oranges, lemons, and spinach (full of vitamin C) will help stop wrinkles. Garlic, soy foods, and fish are high in collagen. Tomatoes have lycopene, which kill enzymes that would otherwise demolish collagen.

Buttermilk – Buttermilk is full of the same active ingredient used in expensive lotions (AHA – alpha-hydroxyacid)

Oils – Oils of any kind, but specifically olive oil, avocado oil, cocoa butter, coconut oil, and especially almond oil and castor oil can be used as a mask or a moisturizer.

Pineapple- Pineapple contains bromeliad which rids of dead skin cells and dirt. A mask to be simply made from pineapple and oil is this: Combine a cup of pineapple chunks with 3 or 4 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix this together with a fork, crushing the pineapple chunks as you go. Apply this like a facial mask and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse well.

Changing your diet and spending more time on your skin care can immediately and immensely help you to rid of wrinkles and have healthy glowing skin.

5 Reasons to Quit Smoking That You May Not Know About

I’m sure if you’re a smoker now, or have previously been a smoker you hear or heard all of the things smoking can do to you. Lung cancer, strokes, shorter life span, etc. Well it gets old and sometimes you just need to hear something new to really get you off the smokes. Which is why I’ve looked around and compiled this list of 5 reasons to quit smoking that you may not know about.

1.Blindness- Smoking can definitely do horrible things to your vision. How bad is it? Well apparently it does the same amount of damage as moonshine. So if you like that whole, being able to see thing, I suggest you putt out the cigarette… for good.

2.Heartburn- There has been a lot of evidence that shows the smoking leads to heartburn. If you’ve ever experienced heartburn you know it can be quite distressing. I’ve known a lot of former smokers that say they have quit simply because they didn’t want to deal with heartburn all the time.

3.Depression- When you’re feeling sad, lonely, and utterly depressed you may only want to sit in your room and smoke. However, smoking can prolong depression and will ultimately make your life much, much more difficult.

4.Wrinkles… Everywhere- Sure you probably know that smoking will cause some serious facial wrinkling. If you’re one of those people that doesn’t know then that should be enough to stop you. However, smoking will also cause wrinkling of some other, not-so-pleasant areas such as, the inner arm and buttocks.

5.Impotence- If you’re a guy this should make you say “I’m quitting right now!” Impotence is probably the last thing in the world you want to happen. Many, many studies (more than you know) show a direct link between smoking and impotence. Guys do you really want to be popping Viagra from a Pez dispenser for the rest of your life just so you can get it up? No, didn’t think so.

Well there you have it. The top 5 reasons to quit smoking that you may not know about. Hopefully these and already known hazards of smoking will have some impact on your future decisions. If not, I have warned you, and all I can say is good luck.
