Counseling of patients must be available in English and in accordance with the pharmacy regulations where the dispensing takes place. Should questions arise at time of dispensing related to appropriateness of the order, and the patient requires counseling, the member must ensure that the patient has access to a licensed pharmacist that can deliver counseling in a manner appropriate to the patients’ circumstances.
